The Department of Family and Children Assistance works to solve problems of dysfunctional families and prevent childhood abandonment. For this goal the Department provides preventive measures and rehabilitation services for the children who face difficult life situations with their families.

There are 5 following offices within the Department:

1. Day-care Office for children who face difficult life situations;
2. Child neglect prevention Office. Here we have case work experts of social work. They serve Kirovskiy and Sovietskiy Districts of Tomsk city, and also 11 rural settlements of the Tomsk District of Tomsk Region;
3. Psychological and pedagogical support Office;
4. Consulting Office;
5. Support of substitution families Office.

 

 

There are psychologists, musician, speech therapist, work instructor and other social work experts that work with the children.
